How to update php in cpanel

Step 1: Login to cPanel #

Open an internet browser and type in the URL address of your web hosting account’s cpanel. Next, insert your username and password to log in.

Step 2: Locate the PHP Manager #

Scroll down to the “Software” heading and click on the “Select PHP Version” icon. This will open the PHP Manager page.

Step 3: Choose the Version of PHP #

On the PHP Manager page, you should find a drop down list that allows you to choose the version of PHP. Select the desired version and click “Set as current”.

Step 4: Update PHP Modules #

On the same page, you will also be able to view and activate additional modules for the selected version of PHP. Click on the desired modules and click “Update” to apply the changes.

Step 5: Save the Changes #

Finally, click “Save” at the bottom of the page to save the changes. This will update your PHP version to the one you selected in Step 3.
